About Our Mission
The Organisation des Vétérans de la Marine Haïtienne (OVMH) is dedicated to improving the lives of Haitian Navy veterans, strengthening community resilience, and supporting the next generation. OVMH provides essential assistance to veterans, offers rapid and organized support to the population during natural disasters, and promotes equal educational opportunities for vulnerable and financially disadvantaged students across Haiti.
Mission of the Organisation des Vétérans de la Marine Haïtienne (OVMH)
1. Support for Navy Veterans Provide social, medical, psychological, and economic assistance to former members of the Haitian Navy, ensuring their dignity, well‑being, and reintegration into community life.
2. Disaster Relief Assistance Mobilize trained veterans to support national and local authorities in emergency response, rescue operations, humanitarian aid distribution, and community recovery efforts during natural disasters affecting Haiti.
3. Support for Vulnerable Students Offer educational assistance—including scholarships, school supplies, mentorship, and community programs—to students who are vulnerable, at risk, or lacking financial resources, helping them pursue academic success and long‑term stability.
4. Developmental Projects Across Haiti Implement and support community development initiatives throughout the country, including infrastructure improvement, environmental protection, water and sanitation projects, youth development programs, and local economic empowerment efforts.
